Foundations of Acting

The Foundations of Acting course is designed to provide a beginning understanding of the basic theories and techniques of acting through study and active participation in developing the actor’s tools. Students will use their bodies and minds to create characters using physical and vocal conditioning, monologue work, and scene study. No acting experience required! At the end of this course all students will feel bold, brave, and proud. Students will also have a working knowledge of creating character, more confidence when auditioning/performing/presenting, and control over their bodies and voices. This course is offered in partnership with Numerica Performing Arts Center. Instructor is Tess Davison, M.A.
