« back to classes page
Have you ever watched a royal event in England and thought, “Those are the most amazing hats! Who creates hats like those?” Amy Worsham did, so she traveled to England to learn the art of hat making. She wants to share her passion for hat making with you! You will learn the hat-making process, so you will be on your way to creating your own hats for theater productions, summer weddings or just for fun. Amy will show you how to make a simple felt hat by creating a block, stitching by hand, and wiring the hat in place. Add a small embellishment and you will be ready for the races, the theater, or a royal wedding (once that invitation comes in the mail).
