Thinking about getting started in keeping honey bees as a hobby? This course will give you the information needed to decide if beekeeping is the life for you. You will learn the basics needed to successfully maintain a colony your first year with an emphasis on Varro Mite control. Learn from experienced beekeepers' “school of hard knocks” so you do not make the same mistakes. At the end of the course you may take the certification exam to become a “Certified Beginning Beekeeper”. Included in your course fee is course manual, certificate and Washington State Beekeepers Association (WASBA) membership.
